DESIGN-BUILD CAPABILITIES IN ACTION

THE 80/90 PUSH PROJECT

The 80/90 PUSH Project is a $250 M Design Build contract involving a major rehabilitation and upgrade of a 73 mile section of the Indiana Toll. ICC performed work as a subcontractor on a $25 M contract involving the rehabilitation of 12 bridges. Structure repairs consisted of rehabilitation of deteriorated concrete, surface preparation of repair areas, replacement of deteriorated reinforcing bars, installation of galvanic anode protection, and placement of formed repairs to restore the original deck, bridge rail, or substructure cross-section. Bridge repair work also involves making the bridge decks continuous for live load with the construction of link-slabs and semi-integral abutment conversation, the removal and replacement of the vaulted approach slabs, replacement of the bearings on the bridge and the addition of fatigue retrofit plate on appropriate cover plates.
