This project faced many obstacles involving utility and scope changes. The work included addition of four dual-level Metra stations with handicapped access, an additional bridge for a 4th track, new retaining walls and renovation of the existing bridge. The station was partially opened in December 2006 for commuter traffic and completed in May 2007.
