The improvement consisted of 2,300 lf of concrete capped steel sheet pile flood control wall and 16,500 cy of earthen levee along the Des Plaines River. The flood control wall consisted of 91,000 sq. ft. of PZC-18 sheet piling. A 4,000 linear foot recreational bike trail with lighting was constructed for public use. Project completion is scheduled for January 2009.
