The staff monitors jobsite safety requirements, how tasks are
synchronized, how information flows to support the tasks and
how tasks are tracked to successful project completion.
Self-Performance
We have the ability to complete a majority of a project’s
tasks with our own skilled labor union workforce. We generally
perform structural and site demolition, excavation, and concrete
framing and placement.
In addition to certain expected activities, we perform other
tasks such as structural steel erection and demolition, rebar
installation, stud-welding, and other specialized ironworker
functions. Our pile driving crews have the experience, talent,
and equipment to tackle a wide variety of h-pile, shell pile,
or wooden pile driving jobs.
Our Millwrights and Ironworkers make complicated and sophisticated
repairs to moveable bridges and erect all types of equipment.
We produce quality work at a competitive price.
Illinois Constructors Corp., Inc. - Safety Program
At Illinois Constructors Corporation, we have developed a culture that promotes an injury-free environment and provides the safest workplace possible for our employees, clients, subcontractors and others who enter our construction sites.
We believe that every accident, and therefore every injury, is preventable, and we embedded that philosophy into every ICC employee and project through ongoing training programs and field procedures.
It is our goal to provide a place of employment where every employee is given the time, training and necessary equipment to perform their jobs without injury, and where supervisors view safety and health performance as the key element to a project being developed on-time and within budget.
We have developed a full complement of well written and site specific safety programs for a variety of projects and field conditions; Environmental Monitoring Plans for sensitive wet areas, Lead Containment Plans for rehabbing older steel structures. This program has become the foundation for planning safe work on all projects and includes:
Bi weekly Safety Talks
Mandatory safe work pre-planning on all projects
Bi monthly safety meetings with all construction management
Employees empowered to stop work and notify a supervisor if they feel something is unsafe.
Job supervisors and formen hold current first aid and CPR training certificates and receive OSHA ten hour training every three years. We demand 100% compliance with all safety policies and constantly reinforce critical preventative measures such as fall protection.
We are dedicated to elevating the standards for safety in the construction industry through a wide variety of methods from our zero tolerance substance abuse program to our fall protection program, which includes partnering with the leaders in the insurance industry to develop the next generation of fall protection systems.
